I knew it was coming...there were ripplings just before the end of October...yesterday it was confirmed...there it was...Santa at the mall. No lines, so we went ahead and got the traditional photo.

The Christmas music started on one of the local radio stations on November 1st. And this is the not occasional holiday song, but the "there will only be Christmas music from now until December 26th (or is it January 1st now?)" Christmas music.
In our small neighborhood, there are at least three houses that are all decorated already with twinkly lights blazing at night. I adore twinkly lights, but I'm too superstitious. No Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving. We put up our tree the day after Thanksgiving. Of course, it may not get taken down until after Easter, but it's the not putting it up early bit that's most important.
